ABSTRACT
It have been done a preliminary study in apllying the resistivity method to identify the coal existence. This model has been realized for laboratory scale, which the respresented of subsurface geological strusture has been realized by using the box filled by earth as a medium.
The method used is the 2D resistivity measurement using dipole-dipole configuration, with several variations of total sounding points and used space 5 cm. The total of line is 5, which was taken continually. The resistivity obtained will be calculated using 2D inversion method and the 3D model reconstruction.
The 2D results of resistivity value are ranged from 450 Ώm to 33259 Ώm, the resistivity value of the antracite coal was relatively high caused by its dry condition and this coal layers located in 4 cm to 29 cm dept. Using the 3D reconstruction model, it has been predicted the coal total volume is abot 18226 cm3 .
Keywords: resistivity, dipole-dipole configuartion, coal.
